About the ACBA

The Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) was established in 1877 and has a membership of 2,200 attorneys, judges, law students, and other legal professionals. The ACBA administers numerous programs and activities to benefit attorneys and the community.

  • To promote the professional development, ethics, and civility in the practice of law
  • To promote diversity in the legal community
  • To promote civil rights and the fair and equitable administration of justice
  • To improve access to legal services for residents of Alameda County
